The Telstra Kids fund grant .... HELP

22 Nov 2018 by Malcolm Mottram

Hi all

The Telstra Kids fund grant, which is one of the few Corporate (non-Government) grants worth applying for, has just been announced at very short notice to re-open this Monday 26 November and close the following Sunday 2 December.
The key to this grant is to find an eligible permanent Telstra employee that is willing to support our club by nominating it in a grant application (about 15 minutes work) next week.

The grant continues to only directly support kids 18 and under.

All clubs are eligible regardless of previous success.

Basically what is needed is to find an eligible Telstra employee that is willing to support the club. The eligible employee does not need to be directly involved with the club however must be Telstra employee:

- cannot have successfully applied for this grant in the last 3 years.

- must be a permanent employee, full or part time based in Australia, not a contractor. Telstra shop employees are usually not eligible as they are, often to their surprise, not directly employed by Telstra but by the Franchise owner.

The process looks the same as last round. What will happen is that the employee will kick off the application process. We will assist and guide the employee. Should take no more than about 10 minutes to complete. If the employee is then nominated to go the next stage, we will complete a second part of the application.

If you find an eligible Telstra employee please provide us with their contact details (ideally email address and phone number) and we will take it from there.

Don’t know a Telstra employee? …. Hints on how to find a Telstra employee:
1. Search on your database for any email address ending in “@team.telstra.com”. And ask them to kindly assist and then speak to us.

2. What has worked for many clubs, is to communicate the following to your database:
